Who we are

At Steps Ministries, we are dedicated to urban impact through both teaching and living the principles of Jesus. We are a 501 (c) 3, tax exempt, non-profit organization (If you want to look us up our legal name is Christians United for Buffalo, Inc.). We offer lots of ways for people to get involved in our work.

We offer Christ-centered youth mentorship and programs, after-school programs in local community centers, plus support and outreach to adults.

Share our passion?

Do you share our passion to see peoples lives transformed by the gospel of Christ through the Ministry of Steps? We invite you to make an investment into our lives and the lives of people in Seneca Babcock. Here’s how you can get involved…

Firstly, you can give your time. We are regularly looking for volunteers to help with anything from direct youth work to helping behind the scenes. See our volunteer page for more info on this.

Secondly, you can support in prayer. We send out regular newsletters by email (or if you would prefer, by mail) with info about what’s happening at Steps Ministries and prayer needs. If you would like to be a prayer partner please contact us and let us know.

Thirdly, you can give financially. We have both churches and individuals who feel a call to give regularly to the ministry of Steps. It takes money to do the Lord’s work! If you’d like to learn more about this, check out our give page!

Join Our Team

We love to connect with people in the body of Christ who want to get involved in Steps Ministries in different ways. You may be looking to get involved as a volunteer, take the Steps Year of Mission, or even be looking to come on staff with Steps! Either way, you can fill out our application below.

Part of the application process is reading and agreeing to our Statement of Faith. Because we work with children and want to protect them, all applicants must consent to a criminal background check.
