Once a month Steps Ministries provides much needed basic essentials (like toilet paper, hand soap, toothpaste, paper towels, etc.) to families in the area. Our basic essentials pantry is a great way to meet practical needs, connect with families and offer prayer support.
Individuals and churches can get involved in basic essentials pantry by collecting donations and dropping them off at the building or by volunteering to help once a month with set-up, prayer and distribution.
“Jesus calls us to ‘freely give’ as we have ‘freely received’. This perspective is so counter-cultural in a world where everything comes at a cost. Families that would never typically set foot into a church come and receive much needed supplies. The need is great, so please consider donating or coming down to help.”

What basic essentials does Steps provide?
- 4 rolls of toilet paper
- 2 rolls of paper towels
- 6 pick and choose items (hand soap, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, baby wipes, diapers, tissues, cotton balls, shower gel, deodorant, sanitizing wipes, and more)
Who can access this?
The basic essentials pantry serves those who feel they need it, regardless of income. We primarily serve families in the Seneca-babcock area, but others can apply.
A key component of true poverty alleviation is to meet the needs of those who genuinely need the resources and won’t abuse it. At Steps we are working hands on with people in the community, it’s not just a hand out.
Participants pick-up 1x per month at Steps on a set day (currently the 3rd Monday of every month) between the hours of 4:00pm and 5:00pm. (Please call for the specifics for this month.)
